So Ji-sub, who seemed to be living a life that was somehow isolated from SNS, has recently been sharing his travel daily life on Instagram. He seems to have been staying in the US since last month, and he often posts short comments along with recent photos of himself. Surprisingly, his use of colorful(?) emojis is noticeable. In particular, he replaces sentences with ‘ㅅ’ or ‘소’ with cow face emojis.
On the 12th, he also tried the ‘MZ Shot’. The photo composition So Ji-sub posted with the caption “Is this a trend?” looks familiar. It’s a method of digging a hole in the sand in the shape of a heart, putting a camera in it, and taking a selfie with 0.5x zoom. Ma Dong-seok liked this ‘MZ Shot’ so much that he even set it as his portal site profile. It seems that So Ji-sub used an app to create this composition.
Recently, fans have been asking for a quick comeback on his Instagram posts where he has been frequently sharing his current status. So Ji-sub’s next project in 2 years has been decided. It is the Netflix original The Square.
In this drama, based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name, he plays the role of Ki-jun, who cuts his own Achilles tendon and leaves the world of the square. In addition to So Ji-sub, the work boasts a stellar lineup including Heo Joon-ho, Ahn Gil-kang, Lee Beom-soo, Gong Myung, Choo Young-woo, Jo Han-chul, Cha Seung-won, and Lee Joon-hyuk.
