The big picture drawn by Hwang Jung-min and Yoo Jae-suk, the identity of ‘Punghyang GO’

It seems that a spin-off version of the travelogue of the legendary travel members, ‘Hwang Jo-ji (Hwang Jung-min-Cho Seung-woo-Ji Jin-hee)’, who has been talked about for over a decade for their unrivaled coolness(?), will be born soon. The story began when Hwang Jung-min recently appeared on the YouTube entertainment show ‘Ping-gye-go’ hosted by Yoo Jae-suk.

That day, Hwang Jung-min, Yoo Jae-suk, and Yang Se-chan talked about their bucket lists. When Yoo Jae-suk said, “I want to go to Switzerland,” Hwang Jung-min said, “I want to go on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Spain alone,” and chimed in, “I don’t speak English and I can’t do anything else, so going on a trip alone for over a month would be a big challenge.” When Yoo Jae-suk chimed in, “These days, you can make reservations through apps,” Hwang Jung-min replied, “I can’t go anymore.” It seems that for him, using apps made the trip more difficult.

In response to Hwang Jung-min’s reaction, Yoo Jae-suk suggested that they do a ‘no app’ overseas travel content with Hwang Jung-min, where they leave without deciding on anything. At first, it was a joke, but Hwang Jung-min started drawing concrete pictures as soon as the topic came up. When Yang Se-chan said, “You’re not going to do it, are you?”, Hwang Jung-min responded positively, saying, “Once this play ends, I have nothing this year. I can just go and come back.” They decided to first set a destination purchase a plane ticket at the airport, and exchange money for about 300,000 won per person per day for a 2-night, 3-day trip.

It all started when Hwang Jung-min mistakenly called the program name ‘Pinggyego’ ‘Punghyanggo’ and the program’s fan name ‘Gyewon’ ‘Gyegukji’. Yoo Jae-suk added the meaning of ‘GO wherever the wind blows’. Hwang Jung-min said, “He takes good pictures” and offered to call original ‘Hwangjoji’ member Ji Jin-hee. He went a step further and said, “Just call Jung Woo-sung and Lee Sung-min and we’ll go.” However, Jung Woo-sung unfortunately speaks English well and is not qualified to be a member of the ‘Punghyang GO’ crew. Instead, Lee Sung-min said, “He probably can’t speak English” and finished registering as a crew member candidate
